Scope and contact

This policy describes the current Smartversus website and development preview. Smartversus is responsible for its website integration. For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact the team through @smartphones.comparison on TikTok. Do not send passwords or access tokens in messages.

Browsing Smartversus

You can browse and compare phones without creating an account or authorizing TikTok. The current application does not include advertising pixels, third-party analytics scripts or embedded TikTok videos. Cloudflare delivers the website and may process technical request information, such as IP addresses and browser/request details, to provide hosting, reliability and security. Owner-only TikTok authorization

The connection is designed for the owner's @smartphones.comparison account, not visitor accounts. It requests user.info.basic, user.info.profile and user.info.stats. The website uses the account identifier to validate the connection and retrieves the username, follower count and total likes. The current integration does not request private messages, contact lists or permission to publish videos.

What we store and display

After successful authorization, access and refresh tokens, an account identifier and token expiry times are stored server-side in a Cloudflare KV namespace. Tokens are used to retrieve account statistics and refresh the authorized connection. They are not sent to visitors in the public statistics response. The public response contains only the username, follower count, total likes and update time. The website periodically requests these statistics to update its badge.

Cookies and retention

Starting the owner authorization creates an essential sv_tiktok_state cookie to verify the callback and help prevent forged requests. It expires after 10 minutes and is cleared when the callback is handled. Token records remain stored until replaced or manually deleted; expiry alone does not delete a record. The application does not keep a history of follower or like counts. Hosting-provider logs are governed by the provider's policies and configuration.

Sharing and external services

Requests needed for the authorized integration go to TikTok, while Cloudflare hosts the application and token storage. Public statistics are available to website visitors. We do not sell TikTok account data. Clicking TikTok or a retailer link takes you to that provider, which may process your data under its own policies. Affiliate price feeds and tracking links are not yet enabled; we will update this policy when integrations materially change data handling. Service providers may process data in countries outside your location.

Control, revocation and deletion

The connected account owner can revoke Smartversus access through TikTok's app permissions. Revocation stops authorized API access but does not automatically delete the stored KV record. The owner can delete that record from Cloudflare, or request deletion through the contact above. Depending on applicable law, you may also request access, correction or deletion of personal data that Smartversus holds about you. We may need to verify a requester's authority before changing account-related data.

Security and policy updates

The integration uses HTTPS, a secure, HTTP-only authorization cookie, server-side secrets and callback verification. These safeguards reduce risk but cannot guarantee absolute security.
